DNRC-DEQ
Hammerquist Casalegno has begun construction preparations for a new facility designed to host the local offices for the State of Montana DNRC and DEQ located on Stillwater Road beside the Forest Service Building.  Following a very competitive bidding process, Hammerquist Casalegno was awarded the project and construction has begun on the 18,000 square foot Main Offices building,  5,000 square foot Fire Cache building, 10 acre site development, creation of a new city street called Timberwolf Parkway, and substantial off-site sewer/water/storm/utility work.

Currently, the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation and the Department of Environmental Quality are housed in separate buildings.  The project, Designed by Gordon Whirry Architecture will allow for a more spacious and efficient work environment and reduce maintenance, energy, and operational costs for the State offices through the project’s co-location design theme.

The projected is scheduled for completion November of 2009 with Kirk Hammerquist as the project superintendent.
