Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. hosts life saving seminar

Fire safety is a major concern for all who are responsible for the design and construction of new buildings.  We don’t take life safety for granted.  Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. sponsored a training seminar on firestop solutions.    Firestopping ensures that fire, smoke and toxic gases are contained to reduce the tragic loss of human life and damage to property.

In addition to their staff, Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. invited their professional associates and subcontractors to participate in training provided by Hilti.  Hilti offers “one stop” firestopping systems tested in accordance with most relevant regulations.  Through-penetrations and joints created during the construction process require the installation of firestop systems in order to bring the wall or floor back up to its original fire-rating. Their comprehensive seminar educated attendees in the basic fundamentals of firestopping and proper selection of Hilti UL tested systems.

The training was held at our Brendan House Addition project.  Following the classroom presentation, a tour was given of this construction site to view and see “hands on” examples of various applications.
