Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. wins the 2003 Building Excellence Award
The Montana Contractors Association honored Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. with the 2003 Building Excellence Award, presented at their annual convention in Great Falls. Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. wins in the Best Institutional Category is for their work on the Northwest Healthcare Cancer Treatment Center in Kalispell.

The jury of construction professionals based their selection on a balance of five criteria points including design, craftsmanship, excellence in project teamwork, innovation in construction techniques or materials, successfully meeting the challenge of a difficult job, and customer satisfaction. Judges noted the project's complex technical requirements as well as design that maximizes natural light introduced extensively through large windows and skylights.

This award recognizes Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. spirit of partnering with a diverse team of talented professionals. Jackola Engineering and Architecture, PC designed the center. This contractor-led design/build project had the challenge of integrating the cutting edge of radiation therapy equipment, its related infrastructure and staff requirements with an environment and space that respects human factors associated with a crippling disease. The result is an attractive architectural asset to the community.
