Hammerquist Casalegno Supports 4-H Livestock Auction

Delicious barbecued chicken dinner, hand-dipped corn dogs, carnival rides, cotton candy, rodeo, and the 4-H Livestock Auction.  They’re all an important part of Kalispell’s Northwest Montana Fair in mid-August each year.

For more than 10 years, Hammerquist Casalegno has supported the 4-H club members in their annual livestock sale.  This year was no different.  John, Debbie, Kirk, and Mark purchased the reserve champion steer among other animals from appreciative young entrepreneurs.  Debbie observed that these kids are “so nice and so appreciative of the support that comes from the community.”

On another level, Kirk has worked with his area 4-H club members for many years in producing award-winning woodwork items.  This year, his group took home several Best of Show ribbons in various categories.  Throughout the year, Kirk enjoys the time he spends helping these youngsters learn and hone their skills.

This year’s fair has come and gone.  But everyone is already looking forward to next year, to a new crop of youngsters with their pigs, lambs, and steers, to new exhibits, and, yes, to that wonderful barbecued chicken dinner.
