“North Bay Grille Complete”

Hammerquist Casalegno is proud to announce the completion of North Bay Grille restaurant located at 139 First Avenue West in Kalispell. Tuesday, November 14th marked the official opening of the restaurant and brought a large crowd.

Long before the enjoyment of the restaurant’s food and atmosphere came the hard work of Nate Nelson, jobsite superintendent for Hammerquist Casalegno, and a tight crew. Construction began on May 2nd, 2006 and moved along quickly.

The project consisted of relocating an existing casino to the east side of the building with its own entry. The old casino remained open during the remodel. Once started, an extensive remodel of the basement was added for new offices, a prep kitchen, mechanical room, and a bathroom. Starting in July, the major remodel of the main floor, the 790 square foot dining room addition, and the outside dining patio got underway.

As with any remodel project in busy downtown Kalispell, there were many challenges throughout the project. Innovative design elements such as a waterfall and outdoor fireplace near the patio added additional complexity. The successful completion of North Bay Grille was a collaborative effort by Hammerquist Casalegno, all our subcontractors and suppliers, A & E Architects, and owners.

And thanks to the owner, completion of the restaurant was rewarded by a festive evening that consisted of tasty food, fun drinks, and the Hammerquist Casalegno staff and subcontractors two days before the restaurant opened to the public.
