2005 Year end review...
As the year 2005 draws to a close, Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. partners look back on a year of accomplishment and growth.
Five important projects were completed – MacKenzie River Pizza in
Missoula and Brendan House Addition, Glacier Neuroscience and Spine
Center, Ashley Furniture/Sleep City, and City Service Valcon corporate
offices, all in Kalispell. Other projects were started including
an addition for Eureka Ranch Hand in Eureka, 400 West Broadway
retail/residential building in Missoula, MacKenzie River Pizza in
Kalispell, a Cherry Creek retail building and addition to Valley Glass,
as well as several interior build-out and remodeling jobs.
Also, on-going work continues at Waterside, a residential condominium
complex of some 70 units in four buildings on the shores of Flathead
Lake in Lakeside, Montana.
Company partners and managers are looking forward to new opportunities in 2006.
Following is a summary of some current and past projects that
Hammerquist Casalegno Inc. and Jackola Engineering and Architecture
have produced as a design-build team.
Current and Recent Projects
Cherry Creek Landing – 2005
Kalispell, Montana
Partly completed, this retail complex is designed to include two
separate retail buildings with combined spaces for up to eight tenants
in addition to the recently opened 40,000 sq. ft. Ashley
Furniture-Sleep City building. The back portion of the site will
provide space for industrial use or residential apartments.
MacKenzie River Pizza
Missoula and Kalispell, Montana
These 4,000 sq. ft. stand-alone restaurants are part of the new concept
for the Montana-based gourmet pizza business. The first of its
kind, the Missoula facility was opened Fall 2005. The Kalispell
restaurant was started December 2005 with an expected completion date
of Spring 2006. The Jackola Engineering and Architecture and
Hammerquist Casalegno design-build team first worked with MacKenzie
River Pizza in remodeling an auto dealer showroom into a pizza
restaurant in Whitefish.
Eureka Ranch Hand – 2005
Eureka, Montana
This remodel and addition to the Eureka Ranch Hand convenience store,
fuel station, and feed store is under way with an expected completion
date of June 2006.
400 West Broadway – 2005
Missoula, Montana
Located in downtown Missoula, this facility incorporates both retail
businesses on the ground floor and three residential condominium units
on the second floor. The 9,000 sq. ft. building is scheduled for
completion Spring 2006.
Glacier Neuroscience and Spine Center – 2005
Kalispell, Montana
This three-level, 15,000 sq. ft. medical office building which includes
sleep labs was designed and constructed to meet the specific needs and
concepts of a team of doctors for their unique business.
Brendan House Addition – 2005
Kalispell, Montana
The design-build team worked closely with Brendan House personnel to
complete the project on time with the least possible interference to
on-going daily nursing activity. The 10,000 sq. ft. addition includes
four private and eight semi-private rooms as well as an
activities/dining area and nursing support areas. Construction was
completed September 2005.
Waterside at Flathead Lake - 2005
Lakeside, Montana
An upscale residential condominium development of some 70 units on the
shore of Flathead Lake, this project includes four separate buildings
and a spa amenities area with hot tub, boat dock, and other
features. The first building of this project is completed and
units sold out. The second and third buildings are under
construction and the fourth building is on the drawing board.
525 Railway – 2004
Whitefish, Montana
This two-story landmark building in the heart of Whitefish across from
the historic railway depot houses both retail and office
entities. In addition to the depot, this 17,000 sq. ft. building
overlook Depot Park and the Big Mountain ski area.
Libby Christian Church – 2004
Libby, Montana
This Libby church was completed in 2004 to meet the needs of a growing congregation for more space.
The Galleria – 2004
Kalispell, Montana
This retail facility was designed and constructed to meet the needs for
retailers who wanted to locate near the Kalispell medical
complex. Tenants include Qdoba Mexican Restaurant, Mountain
Valley Foods, Accents Furnishings, and The Toggery sports clothing and
shoes.
Northwest Healthcare
Cancer Treatment Center – 2003
Kalispell, Montana
The Jackola/Hammerquist Design-Build team combined many design and
construction skills to complete this $4 million, 10,000 sq. ft.
state-of- the-art Cancer Treatment Center. A key element of this
facility was a concrete, radiation vault designed to meet the safety
standards and compliance requirements of the client.
Southfield Park – 2000
Kalispell, Montana
This $9 million, five-acre commercial development project drew on many
design, land use, and construction skills to produce a handsome
centerpiece to the southern entrance into Kalispell. The five-building
project includes Southfiled Tower and Forum office buildings, the Plaza
retail center, Frugal’s unique stainless steel hamburger drive-up, City
Brew coffee, and Movie Gallery.
